Arrival in Iceland and the first dip in the Blue Lagoon
After an evening flight from Warsaw to Keflavík and a night at the airport hotel, we set off to pick up our rented 4x4 vehicles. Day one brings a soak in the famous Blue Lagoon, a walk among geothermal fields and the Valahnúkamöl cliffs, and in the evening a visit to the Fly Over Iceland 5D cinema in Reykjavík.
The Golden Circle and the hidden Secret Lagoon
We drive into Þingvellir National Park, where you can literally walk between two continental plates. Lunch is served in a restaurant set inside a greenhouse, and in the evening we relax in the cosier, less touristy Secret Lagoon.
The Geysir and Strokkur geysers, and a string of waterfalls
We watch the regularly erupting Strokkur geyser, then follow the trail of great waterfalls - Urriðafoss, Seljalandsfoss (which you can walk all the way around) and the mighty Skógafoss.
The black beach of Reynisfjara and an ice cave on the Katla glacier
We walk along an ice lagoon at the foot of Mýrdalsjökull and across the black basalt beach of Reynisfjara. Massive off-road Jeeps take us into an ice cave on the Katla glacier, and in the evening we go puffin-spotting on the coastal cliffs.
Svínafellsjökull glacier, Jökulsárlón lagoon and Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon
A short trek takes us to the tongue of the Svínafellsjökull glacier, followed by an amphibious boat tour among icebergs on the Jökulsárlón lagoon and a walk along the nearby Diamond Beach. We end the day at the scenic Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon.
A lava cave, the Sky Lagoon and the flight home
On the way back to Reykjavík we visit one of Iceland's largest lava caves - Raufarhólshellir. A final shared lunch and a farewell soak at the exclusive Sky Lagoon with its sauna cleansing ritual, followed by a transfer to the airport and the flight back to Poland.
In Iceland we travel in rented 4x4 SUVs with full insurance cover. You can book a seat in a vehicle driven by a guide, or rent an entire car for yourselves (minimum 2 people).

A thick, creamy dairy product similar to yoghurt, known in Iceland since the Viking age. Delicious with local berries and a touch of honey.
Cod, salmon and haddock reach the plate the very same day they are caught. Try the classic plokkfiskur - a fish and potato bake served in local restaurants.
A dark, slightly sweet rye bread baked slowly using geothermal heat straight underground. A quirky local specialty that is truly worth tasting.
